Develops mining concepts, directs pit and dump designs and preparation of mine plans and schedules in support of feasibility studies, permit applications, development and operations. Oversees the provision of geological services to the mine. Oversees the environmental programs for the mine.
Degree in Mining engineering. 5 - 10 years of experience in open pit mining, including at least 3 years in mine design and planning, preferably in coal. Knowledge in computerized pit optimization and design. Supervisory experience essential.
