This position reports to the Manager, Maintenance and is responsible for managing and budgeting for the maintenance operations, providing leadership for the maintenance department, promoting safety and productivity, short and long term planning of mining equipment, planning for maintenance labour requirements. The position also requires the incumbent to coordinate planned maintenance activities and production needs with the mining department, develop specifications for new mining equipment and assist in the sourcing and purchase of it.
Qualifications:
B. A. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. 5 - 10 years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in maintenance.
