Responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of environmental monitoring initiatives to ensure continuous adherence to legal requirements, standards and organizational objectives. Coordinates the implementation of environmental monitoring programs, including data assimilation, interpretation, work plan development scheduling; contributes to monitoring program development and field site inspections to assess environmental risks and to investigate and ensure proper programs as well as waste rules and regulations; provides advice, resources and assistance to contractors in the interpretation of company environmental systems, policies and procedures; and supporting the EMS through ongoing document review and revisions as required.
Qualifications:
Degree in Environmental Science or Diploma in Environmental Technology with a minimum 5 years experience in a similar work environment. Solid computer skills including MS Office, Access, Outlook along with relevant knowledge of environmental regulations and codes are essential. Must have valid BC driver's license.
