As at August 31, 2009 the Company had approximately 322.2 million common shares outstanding with approximately 72.1 million of those shares owned by Cambrian Mining Limited, a subsidiary of Western Coal. These shares are non-voting and are considered de facto treasury shares. It is the Company’s intention to cancel these shares as part of a corporate re-organization of its holding companies. So on a net basis, the Company has approximately 250.1 million common shares outstanding. Including the full conversion of options, warrants and convertible debentures, the Company would have approximately 279.3 million common shares outstanding.
